Yes, quite an emotional experience, but a fulfilling one as well. Wonderful to see a photo of Nakota and great that she is still a young bear soon to breed, or perhaps she did this year.

Description
White Grizzly .... what special moment. A very emotional experience for me 2 years after losing my late wife Rose to cancer. If you have followed me for a while, you know that I spend most of time photographing grizzlies, so you can understand how special this is....or can you ?? First off, I'll let you know that this is "Nakoda" a very special and rare white grizzly that roams in and around YoHo national Park and often in Banff national park. I found her very early one morning around 5:30am near.... a lake. To be specific...I was hiking and away from the main stream of things. Not a single person around, which was even better. Nakota is believed to be around 4.5 years old and no relation to a Polar bear, a Kermode or "spirit" bear. She's not albino, she's leucistic. which is a condition of reduced pigmentation. Making for no color. I need to also tell you why she is so important to me...so here's my story, and I hope you continue to read. "Come to me as a White Bear" It was 6 weeks before my wife passed away 2 years. As we did most days leading up the day that would change my life forever, we sat on the couch and talked about the inevitable future. I asked her something very special and obviously emotional. I looked at her and said....if you ever want to show me that your present and watching over me, I don't want you to come to me as a hummingbird or like a butterfly, as others feel is a spiritual moment for them. "Rose...I want you to come to me as a white bear....she promised me right then, that she would someday. I want to believe that this was truly a very special moment in my life. Thanks for reading till the end.
